AutoMicro Laboratory Testing Module
AutoMicro™ contains a full suite of advanced tests for the modern Micro Biology lab facility
Share information between general laboratory and microbiology laboratory
Builds computerized flowcharts easily
Has significant capabilities for microorganism and sensitivity testing
AutoLims™ microbiology module is completely integrated into the general laboratory system based on the same unique database structure solution. This integration allows the general laboratory and the microbiology laboratory to share information, common features and methodology.
Flowchart Support
As microbiology test selection and flowchart are extremely complicated and depend on many factors (results of previous stages, material, sample origin, etc.), AutoMicro™ computerizes this process by providing the necessary building blocks. With internal tests recording the results of work stages and elaborate reflex testing capabilities based on an extensive formula language, laboratory managers can build any desired flowchart into the system.
Microorganisms
At the final isolation stage, any number of microorganisms can be identified automatically by the system, based on rules received from an analyzer or manually entered by the user. Probability tables and general rules can be applied to suggest likely options or flag questionable results.
Sensitivity Testing
Once an organism has been identified, AutoMicro™ may react in various ways: follow the pre-defined setting for sensitivity panel to test, provide the user with recommendations or stick to a completely manual work mode. It is also possible to receive sensitivity test results through electronic communication and any combination of methods.
Supporting Automated Interfaces
In addition to the manual text mode, AutoMicro™ supports automated data-entry interfaces when dealing with microorganisms and sensitivity testing. Patient details and initial manual tests can be transferred to the analyzer, results can be received from the analyzers upon approval, and more.
Reporting
Finding and preventing outbreaks of bacteria and/or viruses is one of the cornerstones of modern microbiology laboratory work. AutoMicro™ assists this process through a multitude of epidemiology and infection surveillance reports, which provide clear information regarding the nature of infections identified and their statistics.
