AutoGenetics™ is AutoLims™' genetic testing module, which provides complete support of the special features required to process these tests, while maintaining the uniform flow and look & feel of the AutoLims™ product suite.

From the genetic counseling phase, through the testing process, to the automatic generation of the final evaluation report - every aspect of each step in the processing of every requisition is fully documented, including extensive sample and patient meta-data, such as ethnic origin for several generations. AutoGenetics™ also allows defining a tree that specifies all possible family ties of the patient. It is then possible to traverse the family tree and review the patient's relative's files, such as the patient's son's file, sister's file, and so on.

AutoLims™' workflow management features implicitly support sequential, step-by-step procedures, such as Southern Blot tests, or PCR-restriction-enzymes procedures. Assigning positions of samples in tray wells, or blots, is automatic and flexible, so keeping track of sample locations is easy. In addition, AutoLims implements sophisticated features which make it possible, and simple, to manage complicated linkage tests, comprised of dozens of samples, from dozens of individuals.
